The Grand Rapids Public Schools Nutrition Services Department takes great pride in serving our students nutritious and wholesome school meals. By providing breakfast, lunch and after school snacks daily (even through the summer), we play an integral role in the academic achievement of GRPS students.
WELCOME BACK!!
GRPS Nutrition Service is Growing!
We have been very busy over the summer working with our new partner! We are very excited to annouce that we weill be providing meal service to the East Grand Rapids school district, Grand Rapids Christian School's Iroquois and Sylvan Campus's and St. Stephens school. 8 new locations and an additional 4200 new students.
As school districts and municipalties alike are facing financial challenges like never before, the concept of shared services across district and city lines has taken on a whole new level of urgency. We look forward to these challenges and helping to shape a new way of performing important community services.
Farm to Cafeteria

Buying local is an issue we at Grand Rapids Nutrition Center have been working hard at addressing. We are very excited about our new partnership with Country Dairy and Cedar Crest to provide "Farm Fresh Milk" coming directly from a single source farm, right here in West Michigan.
Country Dairy has invested in a new bottling system dedicated to school meal programs, along with a wonderful educational facility for farm tours. Aside from providing high quality farm fresh milk to all our students, our sister district's students and staff will have the opportunity for free tours of the farm and meet the cows that are providing the milk! Check out their website and the new look of school milk for all of your school meals!
